I was able to take on responsible tasks quite quickly, which was very exciting as well as challenging. I also liked the impressive Villeroy & Boch premises in Mettlach, the positive atmosphere between the colleagues and... the canteen.
What are your main tasks at the moment?
As an intern in Product Management, my tasks involve everyday business activities such as creating product analyses and presentations, but I am also assigned projects, which I manage all by myself. Examples of my projects include improving the information on our website about Quaryl or creating a product data sheet for architects. I also help with preparing the internal and external marketing newsletter.
What was your first impression of Villeroy & Boch?
I already knew Villeroy & Boch was a large international company long before I started looking around for an internship. And as it also seemed to be a good employer, I decided to apply for an internship here.
I really liked how fast the application process was – my department warmly welcomed me only two weeks after my first interview and I was able to start my tasks straight away after a short but very good initial training.
What has been your best day at Villeroy & Boch so far?
I was able to visit the Villeroy & Boch plants one day, together with other interns, and learn about the production processes and see for myself how our products are turned into real objects. The 3D robots at the Tableware plant really impressed me! I got to meet the other interns and could already start building my own network at the company. All in all – a great day!
How would you sum up your experience at Villeroy & Boch in three words?
Exciting tasks, responsibility, supportive atmosphere
What advice would you give to other people who are thinking of applying with Villeroy & Boch?
It is essential to be well-prepared for the interview and to find out as much as you can about the company. The interview is really interesting and the atmosphere is casual and friendly. You need to look confident, but not too serious or stressed. Then it's bound to work out!
