Villeroy & Boch at the SHK 2012 - New developments and updates in tap fittings:

Extension of the Subway series, a new finish for Cult and new types of product – concealed and visible

When designing their range of tap fittings, Villeroy & Boch focus on creating good products right down to the last detail. In 2012 new products are being introduced and further extensions made to the range of high quality tap fittings, catering for all bathroom requirements. The Subway series is being extended, the successful tap fitting Cult now comes with a new, pure, matt white finish (Matt-Weiss), and there are new types of product, both concealed and visible.

Extended range for Subway

Simply beautiful – beautifully simple. The designer tap fittings series Subway follows this motto to combine modern aesthetics with thorough functionality. Like the sanitary collection of the same name, the Subway tap fittings are uncomplicated, practical and versatile, offering the highest levels of comfort and convenience. They are easy to use and clean, and there are versions available to cover all areas of application. The Subway product range has now been extended to include a new wall-mounted single-lever basin mixer with individual rosettes. From summer 2012 there will also be a bath spout, a single-lever bath and shower mixer with a diverter for concealed mounting, and a single-lever bath and shower mixer without diverter also intended for concealed mounting. All Subway tap fittings are very versatile and suitable for use in a range of situations, as they match many ceramic collections.

A new finish for Cult

The tap fittings and accessories series Cult holds the coveted IF Product Design Award and is distinguished by well-balanced, clear and contemporary design language. Of course, the modern tap fittings collection also lives up to all expectations in terms of functionality. And now Villeroy & Boch are introducing their bestseller Cult in a new colour, giving the overall aesthetic of bathroom design a novel flair. In keeping with the ceramic finish Edelweiss, Cult is now available in a newly developed matt white finish, following the contemporary trend for tone on tone design – perfect for creating a peacefully contented, puristic interior. The matt white shade takes the Cult series in a new, young and modern direction, particularly expressive of style and lifestyle. And the new colour increases the scope for creativity when designing individualistic bathrooms.

New types of product - concealed and visible

The new concealed thermostat has an attractive angular form with a limited and constant projection designed to fit into the Cult series. It is available in two versions: with a one function volume control for one outlet and with a two function volume control for two outlets. A concealed body with or without a pre-seal is available for both versions. The thermostat has a maximum flow of 18 l/min and can be very well regulated from as little as 5 l/min. It is also very quiet as it is equipped with optimal sound-insulation. The thermostat is thermally insulated and safe installation is straightforward.

Extending the tap fittings series L’Aura, Subway, LaFleur and Cult, there is a new concealed single-lever mixer for bathtubs and sprays. The stylistic connection to the series is made through the lever and the rosette. Two versions are available: with and without a diverter. For both versions there is a concealed body with a pre-seal with or without a safety combination unit, allowing a flow of over 20 l/min at a very low noise level. Sound and thermal insulation is provided, and simple and safe installation guaranteed. As the cartridge is included in the assembly kit, pipe rinsing problems are avoided.
