Nicolas Luc Villeroy, born in 1961, has been the Head of the Tableware Division at Villeroy & Boch AG since 2005 and was appointed to the Management Board in May 2012.

After studying at the Deutsch-Französisches Hochschulinstitut (DFHI) in Saarbrücken and Metz and gaining his first professional experience establishing the export department of a French violin maker, Nicolas Luc Villeroy moved to Villeroy & Boch in Merzig in 1987, taking up the position of export manager for crockery and crystal for the Romance-language markets.

In 1989, he returned to France, where he initially headed the field sales organisation before assuming additional management responsibility for marketing and sales in the Tableware Division in 1991. In 1999, he succeeded Nicolas Villeroy de Galhau as CEO of Villeroy & Boch “Arts de la Table”, later also becoming the CEO of Villeroy & Boch S.A.S. (Tiles, Bathroom and Kitchen) in 2002. In this cross-functional management role, he succeeded in merging three units which previously operated separately in order to improve efficiency. Nicolas Luc Villeroy has helped to shape and support the changes in the Group in France over a number of years in his management function. He will continue to serve as President of Villeroy & Boch S.A.S.

Since 2005, his responsibilities as Head of the Tableware Division have included strengthening sales channels with trading partners and consumers, as well as the internationalisation process. In the latter role, Nicolas Luc Villeroy has successfully driven the development of exclusive gift collections for the growth markets of Russia, Near Middle East and China. He is also focused on the streamlining and optimisation of processes and functions in the Tableware Division: in order to make the division fit for the future, he has been responsible for the establishment of the Tableware competence centres in Merzig and Torgau in recent years, among other things.

Nicolas Luc Villeroy has been a board member of the Association of the German Ceramic Industry (VKI) since 2005 and was appointed as Deputy Chairman in 2009. Nicolas Luc Villeroy has been the Management Board member responsible for Tableware at Villeroy & Boch AG since May 2012.
